Neema Livestock and Slaughtering Investments Ltd is certified to Food Safety Systems Certification, FSSC 22000 (ISO 22000:2018, ISO/TS 22002-1:2009 & FSSC 22000 Additional Requirements) which is a GFSI benchmarked standard for Food Safety, and Quality Management Systems, QMS (ISO 9001:2015). Additionally, the facility is Halal certified by Kenya Bureau of Halal Certification (KBHC), HCC East African Halal Confirmation Centre Limited, and Racs Quality Certificates Issuing Services.
The facility has a Quality Assurance Department comprising of 10 members with a sole responsibility of developing and maintaining standards for product development so as to guarantee that the products regularly meet or exceed food safety, quality, legality, authenticity and Halal expectations. The facility also has an internal Microbiological laboratory managed by a qualified Microbiologist. The laboratory has participated successfully on Proficiency Tests for analyses of product swabs, personnel swabs and water analyses.
